About Layla
My name is Layla – I am a small brindle Staffy girl. When I was younger I thought I had found the ones – how I was wrong. My carers aren’t exactly sure what happened to me but what they do know is this…… I was surrendered to the pound with my babies (that’s right I was a mum) in really poor condition and I had a fear towards all men. I also seem to have had very little socialisation so my carer thinks I may have been contained to a yard – I was rescued from the pound with only hours to spare or I would have been put to sleep as my life was no longer deemed useful.
Since being rescued, I have put on a couple of kilos but am still quite small (around 18kgs). All I need now is a place to call my home forever and people to love me.
Currently I am living in a house that has kids (I love kids and show them by wagging my body when they get home – I don’t jump up though). I also have 3 bunk mates that I love to play with but my bigger sister sometimes gets cranky at me as I am still learning when enough is enough - so would be best suited to a calm friend.
There are also cats in the house which I am getting used too but would love to chase if my foster mum wasn’t watching so might be best in a home without cats or with someone who is willing to train me to leave them alone. There are also chooks here put they are kept in a secure pen out of my reach.
More about me:
I love to ride in the car. I love the kids. I love to be allowed inside with my people but I also am good outside with my friends. I love to walk in the park. I would love someone to run with me (I am really fast too). I love to fetch but I won’t always return straight away. I love my foster dad – he has shown me that not all men are mean. I can now walk in the park without being scared of people. But most of all I would love to meet you – please love me as I can love you. Love Layla XO.
