About Penuckle Pie
A slice of freckled magic on four furry padded paws!
Last born, gentlest and quietest, Penuckle is just a gorgeous baby pup.
With wide eyes and perfect half-flop ears, Penuckle is known as the all-round nice guy of the puppy world.
Penuckle Pie is one of four of the world famous #PieSlicePuppies who were born into a loving foster care environment after their mum (Pecan Pie) was saved heavily pregnant from the pound. Penuckle's mum is a Manchester Terrier. The breed of Penuckle's father is unknown, so the adult shape and size of Penuckle is anyone's guess at this stage!
Having only known love and happiness, Penuckle is a very well-adjusted and sweet-natured young puppy who will make an excellent addition to one very lucky family.
At 13 weeks of age, Penuckle has started toilet training, learning how to 'come', 'stay' and 'drop', and is currently the only one of his litter to not only have mastered 'sit' but can 'shake' paws better (and sincerer) than any politician.
Penuckle is a gentle and kind little bug. He loves a good play, run and explore with his siblings but will often position himself in the softest bed going, with exposed belly waiting for tummy rubs.
It's a big world out there but so far Penuckle has been introduced to humans of all ages, from newborn babies to senior friends in the community. Much the same with canine friends, Penuckle has met a wide range of pups of all ages, breeds and sizes. So far Penuckle is just like any other well-adjusted puppy and displays no signs of fear or timidity, as long as he is introduced in a safe and gentle environment.
Penuckle has not yet been introduced to any adult cats, however at 6.5 weeks of age Penuckle and his litter mates very famously met a group of 3-week-old kittens with a sweet video of their encounter found via this link: https://youtu.be/8rSH8-pbHZ0
The ideal home for Penuckle Pie would be one that will offer: a loving and nurturing environment; further puppy training (puppy school); and daily walks, exercise, play and socialisation with both humans and other dogs. Penuckle would love to go to a home where he'll have lots of companionship, preference considered to a home with an older canine sibling or two.

Adoption details
We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at http://www.maggiesrescue.org/adoption-enquiry/. Please use this link rather than the 'find out more' button on the pet's PetRescue profile.
We will then organise a time for you to meet with the foster carer and the pet you are interested in adopting.
Maggie's wants this to be a good experience for you, and we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog as your situation may not meet the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of this period we will transfer the microchip to your details and the adoption is complete.
Your pet is a Maggie's Pet for Life, please consider this before adopting.
