About Pilot Pie
A slice of heaven wrapped in fur with a wagging tail!
First born, fluffiest and smallest, Pilot is a darling pup.
As fate would have it, Pilot very much lives up to his name as he is not only a keen adventurer but also has a great sense of direction (straight to your heart).
Pilot Pie is one of four of the world famous #PieSlicePuppies who were born into a loving foster care environment after their mum (Pecan Pie) was saved heavily pregnant from the pound. Pilot's mum is a Manchester Terrier. The breed of Pilot's father is unknown, so the adult shape and size of Pilot is anyone's guess at this stage!
Having only known love and happiness, Pilot is a very well-adjusted and sweet-natured young puppy who will make an excellent addition to one very lucky family.
At 10 weeks of age, Pilot has started toilet training, learning how to 'come', 'stay', 'drop' and 'shake', and has mastered 'sit' like nobody's business.
Of the four puppies in the litter, Pilot is very much the go-to guy for human cuddles. He loves his people just as much as his canine siblings and friends, and will always be first to want a lift up onto the couch to settle on your lap.
It's a big world out there but so far Pilot has been introduced to humans of all ages, from newborn babies to senior friends in the community. Much the same with canine friends, Pilot has met a wide range of pups of all ages, breeds and sizes. So far Pilot is just like any other well-adjusted puppy and displays no signs of fear or timidity, as long as he is introduced in a safe and gentle environment.
Pilot has not yet been introduced to any adult cats, however at 6.5 weeks of age Pilot and his litter mates very famously met a group of 3-week-old kittens with a sweet video of their encounter found via this link: https://youtu.be/8rSH8-pbHZ0
The ideal home for Pilot Pie would be one that will offer: a loving and nurturing environment; further puppy training (puppy school); and daily walks, exercise, play and socialisation with both humans and other dogs. Pilot would love to go to a home where he'll have lots of companionship, with preference considered to a home with an older canine sibling or two.

Adoption details
We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at http://www.maggiesrescue.org/adoption-enquiry/. Please use this link rather than the 'find out more' button on the pet's PetRescue profile.
We will then organise a time for you to meet with the foster carer and the pet you are interested in adopting.
Maggie's wants this to be a good experience for you, and we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog as your situation may not meet the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of this period we will transfer the microchip to your details and the adoption is complete.
Your pet is a Maggie's Pet for Life, please consider this before adopting.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
