About Puffin Pie
A slice of squishy, rolly, huggable, moreish puppy breath rolled and baked into love on four legs!
Third born, with the softest puppy skin, chunky features and most angelic facial expressions, Puffin is the biggest of his litter.
Not only does Puffin have those 'puppy dog eyes' that you read about in children books but he holds the title of 'World's Best Head Tilt 2015'.
Puffin Pie, or Puff Pastry as he's known to some, is one of four of the world famous #PieSlicePuppies who were born into a loving foster care environment after their mum (Pecan Pie) was saved heavily pregnant from the pound. Puffin's mum is a Manchester Terrier. The breed of Puffin's father is unknown, so the adult shape and size of Puffin is any one's guess at this stage!
Having only known love and happiness, Puffin is a very well-adjusted and sweet-natured young puppy who will make an excellent addition to one very lucky family.
At 10 weeks of age, Puffin has started toilet training, learning how to 'come', 'stay', 'drop' and 'shake', and was first to master 'sit' as he is one very food motivated young poppet.
Right from the start it was clear that the way to Puffin's heart was very much through his podgy puppy belly. Puff loves his food and will stay focused and calm during his puppy training as long as there is a promise of the end goal of a full tummy.
Puffin loves to run, dig and bound around the yard and is often the last to fall asleep and the first to wake up. He is an intelligent little thing who is often caught sitting by the heater watching the Sci Fi channel (not even joking here).
It's a big world out there but so far Puffin has been introduced to humans of all ages, from newborn babies to senior friends in the community. Much the same with canine friends, Puffin has met a wide range of pups of all ages, breeds and sizes. So far Puffin is just like any other well-adjusted puppy and displays no signs of fear or timidity towards other dogs, as long as he is introduced in a safe and gentle environment.
Puffin has not yet been introduced to any adult cats, however at 6.5 weeks of age Puffin and his litter mates very famously met a group of 3-week-old kittens with a sweet video of their encounter found via this link: https://youtu.be/8rSH8-pbHZ0
The ideal home for Puffin Pie would be one that will offer: a loving and nurturing environment; further puppy training (puppy school); and daily walks, exercise, play and socialisation with both humans and other dogs. Puffin would love to go to a home where he'll have lots of companionship, preference considered to a home with an older canine sibling or two.

Adoption details
We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at http://www.maggiesrescue.org/adoption-enquiry/. Please use this link rather than the 'find out more' button on the pet's PetRescue profile.
We will then organise a time for you to meet with the foster carer and the pet you are interested in adopting.
Maggie's wants this to be a good experience for you, and we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog as your situation may not meet the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of this period we will transfer the microchip to your details and the adoption is complete.
Your pet is a Maggie's Pet for Life, please consider this before adopting.
