About Major
You don't get dogs like Major in often, ones that literally just walk into a pack of dogs and assimilate perfectly. You wouldn't even think he was 8 years old, he doesn't act like it at all.
He is the perfect example of gentle giant. He ADORES other dogs, be that little puppies or little chihuahuas or big dogs like great danes. He adores them all and has met and played with all as well. He also adores kids, people and even horses.
Major loves a few things more than anything though- a car ride, a nice comfortable spot inside on a blanket and pillow and also water. He loves to swim, well for him it's just walking in water but same thing right?
He has to be one of the most stunning dogs that anyone could lay their hands on and he knows it too. He struts his stuff, demands pats and also gives amazing amounts of puppy eyes to plead for his own way.
He is around 54-55 kilos but even though he is this size, his food portions don't match up. He loves a good variety of food and due to his age, he will require a good quality diet so his insides and outsides stay nice and healthy. He will need to be able to come inside as well- to spend time with his family but also to sleep so he can stay nice, comfortable and warm. Strong fencing will also need to be there at his new home, as with his size and strength he could knock down any weak spot and maybe escape - although he hasn't shown signs of this or escaping, you never know.
He is old for his breeds and his size, so he will need to be with someone who understands this, his vet checks have shown that he is of perfect health for his age and he is super fit as well. But we can't guarantee how long he has left unfortunately.
He is a show stopper when he goes out- so why not be the one holding the lead to show him off?
Medical notes
happy and healthy boy who is ready to go to his new home now
Adoption details
In the ENQUIRY SECTION please explain in LENGTH some basics about yourself/ your life/ your household and what type of life you can provide for one of our rescue animals.
If successful, you would be contacted by phone, where we will talk about your enquiry and potentially organise a meet and greet between you/ your dogs/ your family and the potential candidate
From there, you can either take your animal with you if the meet and greet was successful and their vet work has been completed- or if the vet work hasn't been completed, you must wait until it's finished before taking your new friend home which will be organised between yourself and the foster carer.
Every animal has a 2 week trial period.
