About Jewlie
Jewlie is a testament to all the great dogs in pounds. Just a puppy, it's anyone's guess how she ended up there, but it's been a privledge to rescue another flawless poundie. I know I'm biased but I'll say it anyway, Jewlie has got to be one of the biggest treasures, in a teenie, tiny package. I'm tempted to sell her short, just so I can have more time with her, before she finds a permanent home of her own.
The first thing you'd notice about Jewlie, is that her little tail doesn't stop wagging. A happy bundle of joy is she! She bonds strongly to the person/family she knows, and shows indifference/aloofness towards strangers. This should not be confused with timidity. Dogs are naturally conditioned in our society to exhuberantly greet one and all, even though we as humans don't do so with each other. She does find children overwhelming, and I can't blame her when she avoids those self-entitled kids that try and grab at her without asking. Homes with older/mature children will be considered, as I'm sure she'd do fine with any age so long as they have been brought up to be respectful towards animals. She has fantastic recall, and it doesn't matter what she is doing or where she is at the time, if you call her she comes running 100% of the time! Very intelligent, she will pick up tricks and commands with ease. She has no problems with heights and can jump on and off beds proudly. She loves to be picked up and carried, although we keep this to a minimum as she needs to be reminded she is a dog ;) Super confident, she has no issues playing with little and big dogs alike. Exposed to cats, pocket pets and livestock animals, she has good ground work to live in a household with a variety of other pets, however as a puppy we urge constant supervision. Not a yappy dog, she does like to make little whiney sounds when she is super excited, or will just sigh with contentment during a cuddle. Is very well bahaved in the car and is fine during storms. Photos are sweet, but she is 10 times as cute in real life, and looks like she has a permanent smile on her face (maybe she is smiling when I look at her...)
Some key words to describe Jewlie would be: Loyal, Confident, Easy-Going, Super Cute, Pocket-Sized, Priceless.
Only apply if you think you could provide her with the best home on this planet :)
