Marvin

Marvin is everything you’d want in a Maremma Sheepdog, loyal, protective and stately.

He is a gentleman with dogs of all shapes and sizes and would do well with a canine friend. He likes a good rough and tumble, but knows when to stop. A gentle giant when it comes to people, he loves nothing more than a cuddle, often he’ll just rest his head on your leg in anticipation of a pat. Little people are his favourite and he just lights up when there are kids in the vicinity. You couldn’t find a better family dog.

As a Maremma he is naturally protective of his property and his people and will let you know if he sees, hears or senses a threat. For this reason he is best suited to a property where there are less things to stimulate these tendencies. He would not flourish on the average suburban block. His ideal home would be an acreage with people and things to protect. He has been exposed to cattle and horses.
