About Goosey Loosey - Special Needs
Goosey Loosey, like her brothers, was born with deformed front legs. Goosey’s legs, however have almost completely straighten out, since arriving in care. She does have quite deformed paws though and will need her nails carefully trimmed every couple of weeks. She occasionally carries/hold up her right front leg, but this has been checked out by the vets and there’s no obvious reason for it.
As well as the deformities to their legs, Goosey and her brothers have grown very slowly and are very under size for their age. At around 6 months old, they are similar size to 12 week olds, but are otherwise in good health. Goosey also has a slightly crooked tail.
Goosey uses a litter tray with no problems and keeps herself well groomed. Goosey doesn’t really have any other special requirements, other than a home with no stairs or places she can fall from, should she loose her balance, and of course a strictly indoor only home.
Goosey takes a while to warm up to you, but once she does, she’s very affectionate. She doesn’t like to be picked up or held, but loves to jump on your lap for pats and cuddles! She will be best suited to a quiet adult home. She gets along well with other cats and kittens, after initial introductions and while ideally we’d love to find a home for Goosey and her brothers together, as they are all so close, we realise this is a big ask and even with one of her siblings would be wonderful.
A special adoption fee of $500 for Goosey and her brothers as a trio, is available to approved homes.
Goosey is in care in Croydon
Medical notes
