About Dolly (Dog/Child/Cat Friendly)
Dolly was surrended by a large puppyfarm in Victoria and saved by Wally's Doggie Rescue. She is very gentle natured and loving.
Dolly is in foster care in a family environment, and lives with two children age 6 and 9. Dolly shares the house with 4 adults dogs, 3 puppies and 2 adult cats. Dolly doesn't hurt the cats, but loves to stand there and just bark at them. She absolutely loves children and loves cuddles. Dolly has had no previous training, and is responding well to gentle correction. Dolly is nicknamed the "Mountain Goat", at home as she will climb up on tables, chairs, and the lounge.
Dolly enjoys daily walks and can walk on a lead well, and has typical Beagle traits, of nose to the ground and off she goes. Dolly has poor recall off lead and is walked using a retractable lead. She is learning her inside toilet training and learning there is life and love outside of a cage and breeding.
Dolly does not bark during the day or night, but will give the odd howl at sirens that pass by. Dolly will need secure fencing and daily stimulation to keep her busy. Ideally another dog to be re homed with, but Dolly could quiet easily live as an only dog. Dolly does not like male dogs jumping all over her, and has snapped at them in the pass to let them know, she doesn't like it. Dolly is your typical happy Beagle x with endless love to give, and would thrive in a family environment. Medium energy level.
Dolly is eating a Royal Canin Diet of biscuits, and raw chicken mince.
Dolly will have more photos up on PetRescue by the weekend.
Dolly will be desexed on Thursday the 23rd of July, but is available for a meet and greet today!
Medical notes
Desexed on the 23 July 2015. Lumps and Bumps removed. Dental attended.
Adoption details
When enquiring about Dolly, please give us some indication of the type of home that he would have with you. We are interested in things such as other animals (past and present), children who may have contact with the dog, whether you own or rent your home, what opportunities for socialisation outside the home your dog would have, how much you/someone is home and most importantly, why you feel this dog may be suitable for you.
Wally's Dog Rescue put a lot of time and effort into ensuring our dogs/pups are sociable and made to feel part of the family, so in considering adoptions, these are the type of things we will be looking for in a new family.
To kickstart my training, Wyong Dog Training Club will provide 3 FREE dog training sessions
http://wyongdogtrainingclub.org.au/. So please be sure to utilise this awesome gift which will benefit both you and Dolly.
Wally's Doggie Rescue likes all of our rescues to be adopted into families that will continue their socialisation and allow their dogs inside of the home on a regular basis to ensure that they are part of the family. This is particulary so if they are to be an only dog.
Dolly is located on Central Coast of NSW.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
