Jorji

Jorji is a sweet girl who has very good manners. She is new into care but proving a bit of a favourite. Jorji is gentle taking food and gets on well with other dogs, she will offer her new family much love and adored affection.

Sadly this little sweetheart has had a very unfortunate past. Her carer noticed her carrying her left rear leg when they walked her, she is also missing a couple of toenails. When the vet checked her all over he noticed significant muscle wastage in her left quad it was pretty obvious that she had a leg injury. The vet suggests she has either fallen off the back of a vehicle or been kicked. This has resulted in a dislocated kneecap and she will be undergoing surgery to have this fixed.

After following up her original living situation it gets even sadder. Her original owners did not care for her, she was not being fed very often and was wasting away, she dug her way out of the house and was living on the front lawn of a family a few streets away where they were feeding her, she was so gentle the children cuddled and played with her for a few days. They contacted the ranger when no one appeared to be looking for her and she was collected and taken to the pound. The original owners were eventually found and as they no longer cared about her they signed a surrender form - the best thing they did as it bought her to Farmdogz Rescue.

Farmdogz are covering the cost and everything that she needs for her surgery and recovery. Jorji needs a very special home that understands that it may be up to a couple of months of gentle walking, care and love but the vet believes she should have a full recovery after that.
