About Jemma
Jemma Profile
Jemma is a 7 year old, salt and pepper, miniature Schnauzer. Jemma has not had the best start to life, however is gaining confidence with each passing day. She is a wonderful little character, wags her tail madly and craves attention from her foster carer whom she has bonded very quickly and closely with. She is intelligent and has learnt to walk on a lead, she can sit and is a very clean girl, having picked up toilet training with ease. Her recall is good, especially is it involves her favourite thing in the world, food! She was a bit on the rotund side when she came into care, so careful consideration needs to be paid to not over feed her as she is a good ‘doer’. She is slowly learning to play and enjoy life, however will always be scared of strangers because of her previous life. She gets along really well with dogs of all shapes and sizes and definitely needs another confident, well manned doggy companion in her new home to continue to show her the ropes. She is not good with cats. . Jemma would love a home with a sensible owner who can help continue to show her the world is a happy place and full of adventures. A home without children is preferred as they are too overwhelming for her. She really is a very sweet, easy dog to have around and the progress she has made so far since coming into care is amazing, a testimony to the breed. She is going to make somebody very happy, such a wonderful, easy girl with so much love to give.
