General Info
• Tame
• Steps up - once trust is gained he will step up.
• Does not have clipped wings, but doesn’t fly.
• Talks – please note he does swear.
• Loves to give and take kisses
• Alex was placed in care with one our cockatoo foster carers, as the information provided by his previous owner was very limited, also we wanted to fully access his screaming/biting/feather plucking behaviours. He has been in care now since February.
• He will allow his carer to scratch him and move him around to different areas in the bird room.
• He does pluck and chew at his feathers and will sometimes pull a blood feather, which does cause a mess. He has not plucked feathers for a few weeks now.
• He does have a tendency to gorge his food, so is very overweight and is currently on a strict diet and this will need to continue in his new home.
• He will scream for attention, this is not as bad when he has the company of other birds.
• Is good with other birds and likes being around them.
• Health Checked by Avian Vet 2015
• We require someone who has experience with cockatoos and understands parrot behaviour and training.
