About Leeza (Dog/Child friendly)
Meet Leeza, a beautifully natured and very well mannered 8 year old female German Shepherd. Leeza has not been fortunate enough to experience what a loving family home is up until coming into our care at Wally’s Doggie Rescue and because of that she will only be going to a home that will go above and beyond for her so she can enjoy her final years in comfort and surrounded by love.
When Leeza first came into our care she was not in good health. She had very little fur and was quite underweight due to her health being neglected, despite this she was still a sweet and friendly girl and still is. Leeza is now in good health, her fur has grown back (her fur is still growing back so please keep in mind it will get longer and thicker which will require frequent grooming) and has put on weight therefore is now a happy thriving old girl. Leeza does have arthritis in her back legs which is common for large, old dogs and also has a thyroid condition which both will need continuous medication for.
As always a special girl requires some special necessities which are as follows. Due to Leeza’s arthritis she does not require strenuous exercise and will benefit from a short daily walk to keep her active and maintain her health. However, don’t be deceived by her slow back legs as she still is very strong on the lead, especially when she picks up a scent. Leeza will also require a loving owner who works from home, is home a lot or is retired as she doesn’t like being by herself for long hours. She would also absolutely adore having another doggy play mate to keep her occupied and young at heart. Like all our rescue dogs, Leeza must be allowed be inside as she pleases and sleep inside. Leeza is good with all other dogs and children. She is untested with cats.
Leeza is the most loving, obedient and well mannered dog you will ever lay eyes on and will give you back twice as much love. If you know you can give Leeza her first real home and the best final years of her life please arrange to have a meet and greet with her and her foster carers who are situated in Belmont North, NSW.

Adoption details
When enquiring about Leeza, please give us some indication of the type of home that he would have with you. We are interested in things such as other animals (past and present), children who may have contact with the dog, whether you own or rent your home, what opportunities for socialisation outside the home your dog would have, how much you/someone is home and most importantly, why you feel this dog may be suitable for you.
Wally's Dog Rescue put a lot of time and effort into ensuring our dogs/pups are sociable and made to feel part of the family, so in considering adoptions, these are the type of things we will be looking for in a new family.
We do our best to provide you with a clear understanding of our dogs needs and their temperaments, so please help us by providing as much information as you can about your home and lifestyle so that we get an idea if this is the right home for our baby.
To kickstart my training, Wyong Dog Training Club will provide 3 FREE dog training sessions
http://wyongdogtrainingclub.org.au/. So please be sure to utilise this awesome gift which will benefit both you and Leeza.
Wally's Doggie Rescue likes all of our rescues to be adopted into families that will continue their socialisation and allow their dogs inside of the home on a regular basis to ensure that they are part of the family.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
