About Sooky
*more photos coming soon*
Sooky is a cute little pocket rocket. She loves cuddles and snuggling up to her humans, yet she has a sense of adventure and a very inquisitive nature.
She walks very well on lead and will stand patiently while you clip it on. She is also well behaved off lead and won't run away and comes when called. She does need some more training to teach her that strangers (human and canine) are nothing to be scared of and don't justify alarmed barking. She has been practising to ignore them with her carer and is responding very well to that.
She is quite treat motivated and pretty smart.
She loves playing with her canine foster sibling. When they are outside, they just run around in big circles together. Inside they love a bit of a wrestle, despite their size difference. She is a bit timid around strange dogs, but hasn't shown any signs of fear aggression.
Sooky also loves her toys. She will bring back the ball or soft toy and actually "talks" to ask you to throw it for her.
She is toilet trained and will take herself outside through the dog door.
She will require daily brushing and regular trips to the groomer. Because of her activity levels, she will be best suited to an active family who will include her in their lives, take her for walks and play with her. She is good with older kids.
As is common for her breed, she regards herself as a bit of a watch dog. It would therefore be best if she would be allowed inside when her owners are away too.
Sooky is in foster care in Casey, ACT, but transport to other locations can be arrange just ask us to obtain a quote for you when you submit your adoption application.
