About Duke
Hi, I’m DUKE!
I’m a Siberian Husky boy who is 12 – 18 months young. My foster mum says I’m just a ‘spunky little puppy’ but I’m a big boy now! I’m not only a little cutie with my fluffy tail and big brown eyes, but I have substance and intelligence too! I have already started learning some basics like: Sit, Drop, No, Outside, I come when I’m called, I even stay on my mat now when my foster family are having their dinner at the table and I would love to continue learning new things. …Oh and I’m like 87% toilet trained! Well maybe 76.3% wink emoticon
I love meeting new people and love everyone I meet. I am super great with other dogs so it’s a joy taking me out for long walks. I like to stop and sniff the flowers, grass, tree’s…well actually I like to sniff everything. smile emoticon I might get a little distracted and focused when I hear noises coming from the bushes but with a little correction I’m back on track.
My foster dad reckons I would be a really good agility, urban mushing or jogging partner! I’ve got these bouncy legs and love doing zoomies, playing chaisy and jumping around. I’ve already mastered jumping onto my foster parents bed for morning wake up snuggles and belly rubs.
When I’m inside the house I’m super relaxed, I love playing Peek-A-Boo with my blanket, throwing around my ‘green spikey light-up’ ball and snoozing on my bed. But I especially love to snuggle and cuddle on the couch and lay my head on your lap - keeping you company throughout the day brings so much happiness and joy. I also love snacking on carrots and trying new fruits and vegetables, but oranges are Yuk!
I will bond incredibly strongly with my ‘special person’ and family, so I will worry if I’m left alone for too long. I need an understanding owner who can work with me to become more independent and who has time to be home with me for part or the day. I would be great with other dog’s in the house but I’m OK on my own too. You will never get jealous or wonder about my intentions because once we’ve made a commitment to happy ever after, I’m yours!
