About Reubin (adoption pending)
Looking for fun on four paws? Reubin's your guy! He's quite shy of strangers, especially men initially; and chaotic households - he's absolutely a lover not a fighter.
Underneath the shy little flower, he has a very loving and fun filled temperament that will fill your days with smiles and laughter. He loves a good time, and would do anything to please you! Offer him some training, love and boundaries and he'll happily accept your kind education and grow into a delightful family friend!
He is house trained, happy to sleep on his own bed but will sneak onto your bed or couch if allowed. At the moment he is all puppy excitement and long legs. He is a snuggle bunny when given the chance. If he thinks he is in trouble you may have trouble catching him.
He is very good at heeling on the lead (totally unfazed by traffic, other dogs on his walk), will sit and drop! Not so good at his recall. Loves playing with his fur bros, is OK with cats - better with dog friendly cats needs to be watched with standoffish cats. If it runs he will chase it! Possums, strange cats, magpies - might not be chook friendly.
While he is confident and very protective (huge bark and not afraid to use it in his own yard) he is very concerned by loud metallic noise - opening shed doors, dragging tool boxes around etc. So definitely should not be off leash at this stage out and about.
Reubin needs a home with a confident stable dog as a companion, preferably no young noisy children (he finds them frightening), where he will get a walk most days and a decent size yard where him and his fur bro can burn off some excess energy.
He will not dig up your yard for no reason as a rule, but loves water and mud puddles even more, so if there is a puddle in your yard when you leave for work expect a dirty dog and a bigger mud puddle when you arrive home.
Having said all this he really is a very loving companion, who is more than happy to hang out and play with his new human and fur bros
