About Rolo ~ Collie x Kelpie x Lab Puppy (on trial 25/7/
Hi there. My name is Rolo and I am a super adorable 7 week old puppy. My siblings and I spoke to the nice vet man and we think we might be a cross between a Border Collie, a Kelpie and maybe even a Labrador. Based on all of that, and by looking at the size of my feet I think I will grow up to be a medium sized dog, however as I never knew my fur ancestors I just can’t be 100% sure.
I have three brothers and two sisters who I live with while we are waiting to find our families. While I am happy to play with them and share my dinner I am also quite happy doing my own thing and really love the company of humans. I can tell you now, I will make a very loving and loyal companion to anyone who will give me a loving home. Because of my human focus I need to be allowed inside when my family is home and I also need to be allowed to sleep inside.
If I had to pick my favourite thing in this whole world it would be cuddles. I just love cuddles so, so much. I get right in there and hug you right back and my foster mum says I am the best snuggler of all time. Besides my personality I am also distinguishable by my looks. I am what you might call a fluff ball and my hair is very different to the rest of the family.
As I am still a puppy I am too young to be left alone for long periods of time. I would need to go to a home where someone is home quite a lot and where I am welcome inside to be part of the family. As with all puppies, I am still learning all the tricks and lessons that will help me become a well-rounded and good dog. My new family will need to be dedicated to helping me become the best me I can be.
Because I am so young I am still learning the art of toilet training. I will usually cry to let you know I want to go out and if you take me out regularly I should not make too many mistakes. I would also love to go to puppy-training classes when I’m a little older as my foster mum says they will give me the best start in life. If we go to classes together it will help us build a special bond which we can share forever.
As I am not yet desexed I am only available for adoption in Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens. This is because I need to be returned to our vet for desexing when I am 4 or 5 months old.
I share a foster mum with five of my siblings and their names are Twix, Pollywaffle, Violet, Wonka and Freddo. We currently live in Lochinvar and we are all available for adoption.
If you would like to meet any of us please contact my foster mum. Her name is Renee and you can email her at renlou1980@gmail.com.
My adoption fee is $450 and this includes my desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, and microchipping. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
