About Coco ~ Chocolate Labrador (on trial 12/7/15)
Meet Coco – he is a very handsome, 5 year old male Chocolate Labrador! He is large in size with a fluffy chocolate brown Labrador coat.
Coco has a very sweet personality and is very loyal, loving and gentle with all people and children he comes into contact with. He has great manners, is quite calm for a Labrador and is able to sit and come when called.
Coco absolutely loves his daily walks, spending time with his humans, carrying around his toys in his mouth (or gifts to his humans as he likes to think) and sleeping in his warm bed. He is a great walker and is getting better every day with his leash training. He is very well behaved both inside and outside and as a 5 year old has outgrown any typical puppy traits (house training, digging, chewing etc).
Coco has been living in foster care with an 18 month old Labrador and a cat. Coco gets along very well with his foster brother and they spend the day together outside sleeping and playing with their toys. He loves to spend as much time with his humans as possible, and comes inside when they are home – he remains quite calm inside with his foster brother and after saying an excited hello and getting a pat will often curl up in his bed. He is also great with cats, having become very friendly with the resident foster cat. Coco also gets along well with all dogs he has met in the dog park and on his walks, with the typical happy-go-lucky attitude of a Labrador.
Coco has been sleeping indoors on his special doggy bed and is well behaved and doesn’t move a muscle all night. Coco is an easy going dog and would suit a home where he can be a part of his family’s life including inside time every day. He has bonded well with his foster brother and would be an ideal companion for another dog also. He requires daily exercise, a secure yard and most importantly lots of love!
Coco is a very special, loyal boy and would so very much love to find his perfect furever home!
Coco is currently in foster care in Tighes Hill, Newcastle area. If you have any enquiries or would like to adopt Coco please contact his foster carer Jess on 0416612703 or email jessica.germon@outlook.com.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
