About Jack
A bit about me: Jack loves to spend time with humans. He is a loving dog who doesn’t know his own size or strength. The excitement on his face when we get home from work is priceless! Jack does not like sharing his yard with other animals but has enjoyed visits with a friends little dog (they are the best of mates). Jack is happy exploring our yard or snoozing in our loungeroom….mostly snoozing these days :)
My ideal owner: Because of Jack’s size, he will need a large yard and an owner who is strong / firm with his commands. He responds well to basic commands but needs more practice with walking on the lead (we have a big property so he doesn’t go for walks around the neighbourhood). Jack loves human company and would ideally be allowed to stay indoors at times, although he is happy to sleep outside during warmer nights.
Suitability with other dogs: Not really tested. He has been getting along well with a friends dog who comes to visit, but this dog has never stayed at our house. He wasn’t well socialised when we got him and would need to be introduced to other dogs under supervision.
Suitability with cats: Definitely not a cat lover (or bird lover, or possum lover, or most other animals). If you have other pets, it will be best to keep them separated.
Suitability to children: Jack has the most gentle, loving nature, however he doesn’t realise his own size and therefore wouldn’t be suitable for young children. Teenagers would be ok.
