About Jack
Jack was taken into a local veterinary clinic to be euthanized as his elderly owner passed away, and so is looking for a new home to call his own.
Jack is great around children, dogs and cats, he is gentle and doesn't get over excited or jump; if you tell him to sit and be patient he will do exactly that. He is respectful and gets along well with other dogs and could be rehomed with a cat that is dog confident, Jack does have a herding instinct and would chase a cat that is uneasy.
He is house trained and is well mannered and gentle with and around food, he also has a good understanding of obedience such as sit, drop, stay, paw and is progressing with recalling and off leash exercising. Jack is on the lazy side and while he potentially has herding ability, he has no drive to be a full time working dog. Jack is looking for a home with an active family that are looking for a loyal and reasonably low maintenance companion. He would be suitable for an elderly people or a couple with children.
Jack can be slightly anxious at times but has no bad habits, only when he is unsettled or uncomfortable with something (vets, nail clipping as examples). He requires somebody who is experienced with working breeds and understands their needs in terms of exercise and mental stimulation.
His adoption fee is $350 which includes desexing, microchipping, C5 vaccination, hydrobathing on commencement of his trial and flea and worm treatment.
Medical notes
Jack has no medical conditions, however he does have a small amount of plaque build up on his teeth and will require bones to chew on and manual brushing of his teeth in the future.
