Bindi ~ Ridgeback X Great Dane (on trial 14/7/15)

My name is Bindi and I am a Ridgeback x Great Dane and I have just had my first birthday. My previous family love me very much, but a change in their circumstances means that am looking for a new furever home and the nice people at DRN have taken me in to make sure that I find one.

I get along with everyone – well almost everyone … if you are male and I don't know you I am a little wary, but I do come around if you have a little patience with me. I of course would never bite or hurt you – I just get a little scared and I am not sure why, but it doesn’t take me long and we are great friends. I love kids and other dogs and even horses and cats are ok in my book!

I love to go out walking and even running! I am very well behaved with my lead and I know I am not allowed to pull in case I accidentally pull you over. My foster Mum's 2 year old little girl can even walk me! Sometimes at the doggie park when I am off lead I wander around to make new friends, but if you think I have gone too far, just call me and I will come straight back! Even at the horse paddock where there are no fences, I promise I will come if you call me. My foster Mum says I am the best girl EVER.

I am used to sleeping outside, but I will need a nice cosy kennel or some shelter with a bed please to keep me warm and out of the rain and cold. I would also really like it if I could come inside to spend some time with my new family. We could cuddle on the lounge or I could just lie at your feet while we watch the TV. I would never have an accident inside and will always let you know if I need to go outside.

If you could play with me outside that would be pawsome! I love to play fetch and I can also sit, drop and even high five. I would love to learn some more tricks, if you would like to teach me as I only want to make you happy.

I would be very loyal to my new family and sometimes if I hear a stranger around I will bark, but only to let you know someone is around. I would never bark all the time. \ When I am meeting all your friends, I might get a little excited and jump on them. I don't mean to, it's just that I love making new friends but once you tell me it’s time to settle down then I will.

Some of my doggie friends have told me they love to dig up their families yard and try to escape, but I don't like to do that as I think that would displease you.

I am looking for a home that will give me lots of love and spend time with me. I would like to be involved in your daily activities, although I do understand that you will need to go to work and there are some places I won’t be able to go with you. \ If you have a doggie friend that I could be with on those times to keep me company, that would be great or maybe you are home some of the time and don't work full time or maybe I could even go to work with you!
