About Duke
- Single dog home.
- Someone who works from home or is retired.
- No cats.
Hi my name is Duke, I’m a lovely boy who just love’s a cuddle and to be patted, I take food gently, I walk well on the lead and don’t pull but I can zig zag a little if you don’t control my lead properly, I know how to sit and just about do a drop so with some training I will learn in no time. I will need to go to obedience so I can learn how to socialise with other dogs and for my new owners to be taught leadership skills. I don't like other dogs in my face. I'm very affectionate and loving. I've been a good boy in my run but I'm fed up with not being in a loving home.
I run with other dogs each day and I’m well behaved around them as they are me.
I came from a pound so not much is known about me. Trish Harris from Four Paws K9 Training did a temp test on me and I passed with flying colours :)
Jan & Linda believe I was chained up, most probably with a correction collar because I’ve got marks around my neck and they could feel where the chain had been :(
I need someone who either works from home or is retired. I will be better off in a single dog home with no cats.
Please don’t apply for me unless you take into consideration my needs.
Adoption details
If you think you can offer me a forever home please go to
http://www.staffordrescuevictoria.org.au/index.php/adoption-forms-6
and fill out the Adoption Request Form. You will receive an email acknowledgement within 3 days. If you do not receive any further contact after this please do not be discouraged. It just means that a suitable application was received before yours. We encourage you to contact Jan: jan.hutton@optusnet.com.au every 2-3 weeks to show you are still interested in adopting. As we will already have your form on file it will fast track the process when a suitable dog does become available.
Adopt one of our dogs and we are there for you for the rest of the dog's life. If you find you and the dog are not suited it is a condition of sale that the dog comes back to Stafford Rescue.
