About Abby EC0025
Abby is being fostered on a farm where she mixes with lots of other animals, with sensible precautions being taken – cats, dogs, horses, sheep, alpaca and cattle.
Abby is a very happy dog who just adores people and would prefer to be with you than with other dogs. Abby has lovely manners and will sit and wait for her dinner and she understands sit, drop, come and shake hands. Abby can be a little boisterous and may jump up but always very gently – her carer is working on this. Her lead walking needs some work as she has not been walked on a lead much before but she is eager to please and loves her food so would be easy to train – ongoing positive training would be very good for her. When walking off lead Abby is happy to stay close and will come when called or whistled.
As Abby is a large dog with occasional over exuberance, she would suit a family of adults or with older children as she may accidently knock small children over. Abby is a sensitive dog and suffers from a little separation anxiety which causes her to bark and she would therefore not do well kept in a yard as she needs the security of being part of a family. She would ideally suit a family where someone is home most of the time or can take her out with them.
Abby is very friendly and although will bark when people arrive, is a hopeless guard dog.
Abby is a lovely dog with so much potential and with a supportive environment and gentle input she would be the very best of dogs.
