About Blaze ~ On Trial 27/8/15
Introducing Blaze, a 10 month old stumpy tail cattle dog x staffy puppy. Blaze is a social butterfly who loves to meet and be around people and other dogs. \ Blaze is Mr Affectionate and loves his cuddles - he thinks he is a lapdog and will perch himself on your lap to watch TV at night in the warmth inside. \ After his nightly TV viewing, he snuggles into his own bed and waits for you to put his blankie on him.
Blaze is very obedient and understands basic commands. He loves his daily walks and is very well behaved on a lead for such a young dog. He doesn’t pull and he’s very well-mannered when meeting other dogs when he’s out. He would love a family that will include him in their activities and adventures. He loves going for car rides and he sticks his head out the window to enjoy the wind in his hair. It’s best to use a seat-belt restraint for car travel otherwise he’ll happily plant himself in the front seat to increase his view of the outside world going past!
Blaze is a mix of two very clever and people focused breeds. In typical staffy style he loves being with his humans and he is great with children – he is a gentle big friendly boofa with them and just wants to show them love and friendliness. Blaze has the cattle dog intelligence and desire to please you - he would thrive in a family who want a smart dog for agility or ball sports as he loves to do zoomies. If you have a doggy park or beach near you, he loves to stretch his legs with a good run around.
Blaze has been in foster care with a medium sized friendly dog and he loves to play with her. He has met dogs of all ages and sizes and he begs them to play with him regardless of their size. Blaze needs a furever home with another friendly playful dog who will enjoy his puppy zest for life. \ Older or less playful dogs might find his friendliness a little annoying! \ When Blaze has another dog to keep him company he is a content and happy boy. \ He was surrendered to rescue as he was lonely for companionship of other dogs so he will not suit a single dog family. If left alone without another dog he will get up to mischief which is quite normal for a lonely puppy of his age and social level. Blaze loves playing with toys and he is great with his food - no fussy eater here! If you give him a bone, he’ll take himself out into the yard and chew at it for hours.
Blaze is a friendly and energetic puppy looking for his forever home and a fur buddy to play with. If you’d like to meet Blaze please contact Jo on jo.payne.aus@hotmail.com or 0427 695 104. \ Blaze is in foster care near Belmont, Newcastle (2280).
Blaze’s adoption fee is $400 and includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, micro-chipping and registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
