Chloe ~ On trial 6/7/15

Chloe is a 3 year old female Labrador – not that we need to tell you she’s a girl, just look how pretty she is! Chloe is everything you would expect in a Labrador – she’s friendly, affectionate, and always happy – especially if you have a treat for her! She’s a very well behaved girl and no trouble at all to have around. Chloe is already house trained with no accidents, and is not a digger or destructive. She has some gorgeous little quirks – when she wags her tail, her whole body wags with it! She also likes to frequently show you that she can shake hands without you asking her to, and when she is asleep you will know – you can sometimes hear her snoring from the other side of the house! She also loves EVERYONE – dogs or people! She likes to say hi to everyone as we go on walks and try to get a pat or have a play.

Chloe has previously spent most of her time outside, but it didn’t suit her- she has adapted perfectly to being inside with her foster family, and this will need to continue at her adoptive home. She tended to escape when left outside previously, so she really needs lots of inside time – she currently spends most of her time snoozing on the living room floor, or by your feet as you cook dinner or do the laundry. She is great with children, although with her size and weight she may accidentally knock over a little one if she gets really excited. She occasionally jumps especially when you have just arrived home, but she’s learning not to and doing well.

Chloe would do wonderfully either with a family who are home a lot of the time, or as long as she has another doggy friend at home she could be alone for a few hours without issues. She currently is left in the house with her foster brother and sister while we work, and has not had accidents or caused any damage. Chloe is great with all dogs including smaller ones (she currently lives with two dogs much smaller than her), and also gets on well with cats.

Chloe is not particularly energetic, but she does really love her walks and would love to go for a walk or two each day. Most of the day she is quite happy to lie around and have a cuddle, and sleeps perfectly through the night. We are currently working on her not pulling on the lead, and she is doing very well, especially once she’s over the initial excitement of going out! She also enjoys a swim- so be careful not to let her off lead near a creek if you aren’t prepared to take a wet stinky dog home!

Chloe is a little “full-figured” at the moment – hence the nickname Blobby! She is on a diet and is also being exercised daily to help with this. She is also a heavy shedder – so if you are looking to adopt, be prepared for little black hairs covering all your clothes, and vacuuming on a much more regular basis!

All in all, Chloe is a very special girl who needs a very special family to appreciate how fabulous she is.
