Dash ~ Italian Greyhound (on trial 25/7/15)

Dash 8 year old Italian Greyhound. Dash is a delightful older gentleman who did not have the best start in life and is now looking for the happy family environment that he so deserves.

Being super friendly, Dash is great with other dogs, cats and chickens. However, due to his past, Dash can be very timid, although he does love humans and is slowly coming out of his shell. Having said that, Dash will need a home where he is guaranteed plenty of TLC, patience and love.

Since he is older, Dash has lost some teeth, even though this doesn’t bother him. Due to an old injury, he is totally blind in one eye and partially blind in the other. Despite this, Dash is still fairly mobile and gets around fine, rarely, if ever, bumping into objects. However, shadows scare him a little. Dash is a very well behaved boy, who comes when called but as his new owner, you may need to call his name a few times so that he can orient himself.

With his smooth coat that can easily be cared for with just a bath and the occasional brushing, Dash is very low maintenance. Although quite small compared to other greyhound breeds, Dash has reached his full growth potential. He would be happy as an only dog given plenty of love, attention and exercise, but wouldn’t mind sharing the love with other animals in the home.

Recently surrendered (through no fault of his own) to Dog Rescue Mudgee – a Branch of Dog Rescue Newcastle, Dash is looking for a permanent home.
He is de-sexed, vaccinated, free of fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered and his adoption fee is $200.
