About Ruby *On Trial in Her New Home*
*RUBY IS CURRENTLY TRIALING HER NEW HOME - NO MORE ENQUIRIES/APPLICATIONS PLEASE* \ Cute, cute, cute – there is absolutely no other word to describe this little sweetheart except cute!
Ruby is a healthy, happy little dog who can be a bit wary meeting new people though quickly warms up to show her friendly, affectionate side.
Loveable Ruby would be fine in a home where she’s the only dog but only if her humans were home a lot as she’s used to having company and does get a little anxious without it, so a retiree or stay-at-home mum or even someone who works from home would be perfect. She enjoys the company of other dogs and is in care with a male Maltese/ShihTzu and they get along fine though for Ruby it really is all about that human interaction and she craves it whether it’s sitting beside you while you watch tv or pottering around in the garden, Ruby will never be far away.
This clever girl quickly mastered her foster carer’s doggie door and takes herself in and out all day – she’s toilet-trained so that’s a bonus! She loves playing with squeaky toys or bringing the ball back in a game of fetch. She isn’t licky or in your face though she does make a good little watch dog letting you know if something’s not quite right in her world. We don’t think Ruby’s had much training but she has lovely manners and rarely jumps up, and what’s more she’s good with children having spent time with them in her previous life.

Lovely Miss Ruby sleeps in a basket next to her foster carer’s bed so we’d like to see this indoor / outdoor lifestyle continued in her forever home. Having Maltese/ShihTzu in her she doesn’t lose a lot of hair though she’ll require a good brush once a week and a bath as required to keep her smelling fresh – she may also need the occasional clip by a professional. Daily walks or runs around the backyard, plus bones or chicken necks to chew on will make Ruby very happy indeed!

Adoption details
Please Note: SARG and our animals for adoption are located in Mildura in North-West Victoria.
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed, references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
