Stewart

Stewart will give the right home his undivided affection and loyalty.  he is well behaved, house trained, comes when called and does not yap but only barks to sound the alarm.  stewart loves cuddles and would love another dog to be pals with as he adores playing with the other young dog also in foster care with him.  they will cuddle up on the same cushion together and the next minute hurtle through the house and play-fight. Stewart can run forever and loves to chase balls but always comes back when called however he does need a kind but assertive owner (as described by caesar milan for those who know of him!). Stewart believes that he needs to protect his family when visitors arrive therefore he needs an owner that understands his personality type and will show him that everything is ok and that the family don't need any protection from the visitors. Stewart will also bark at motorbikes, bike riders, skate boarders and joggers so needs to be kept on a lead when these situations are present. We know there are only a few experienced dog owners out there for a dog like stewart, however we will not compromise when we rehome him and he must be an inside dog. Stewart loves his doggy comforts, especially his dog bed, and enjoys sitting at your feet while you watch tv or read. He is not used to excessive periods of time alone so someone who can spend time with him and give him plenty of exercise, preferably with a doggy friend, would be the best environment for stewart. Due to stewart's defensive personality, which we believe to be caused by the abuse he suffered in the past, we will not rehome him with children. Update 30 december: stewart will only be rehomed to a responsible person who has had experience with dogs who are outside of the 'norm' as he has been abused. Please do not apply to adopt stewart unless you fit this criteria as you are only wasting our time and yours!!

Stewart comes desexed, microchipped, wormed, lifetime registered with your local council, has had her first vaccination and annual heartworm injection and is free to a good home.
