About Evy ~ On Trial 24/7/15
Evy is a sweet little 4 year old Maltese x Shih Tzu. She’s a small affectionate girl with a placid nature who just wants to please you. She’s got big perky ears and she looks very similar to a “My Dog” dog (Westie Terrier). She loves meeting new people and getting petted by them, and she’s not phased if you have a busy household with people coming and going.
Evy shares her foster home with 4 other small dogs and she loves their company. Evy needs to have the companionship of another friendly dog as she’s spent her whole life with a doggy friend. She is good with little and medium sized dogs and is very sociable. \ It doesn’t take her long to bond with new doggy friends. She’s also in care with cats and chickens and she is fine with them.
Evy loves people of all ages – adults and children of any age. She is toilet trained and needs to be inside when her family is at home. Evy would love to sleep in your room with you either on the bed, or on a bed on the floor. She sleeps solidly all night and will only get up when she hears your alarm in the morning.
Evy will be great in a family with people of any age with another friendly dog to keep her company and run around with. She is a sweet gentle girl with a playful and cheeky side that will make you laugh.

Evy's adoption fee is $450 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Medical notes
Evy has food allergies and therefore she need to be fed low allergy commercially packaged foods like Holistic brand food or similar. She also enjoys chicken and rice. This food is not much more expensive than other foods as she will eat less, and it will keep her happy and healthy. You will need to ensure that she can’t get access to your other dogs food bowl or treats. She enjoys this food and you can also use it as treats.
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
