About Lucky Charm ~ Boxer X Great Dane - Great with Kids
Lucky Charm is a large friendly softie of a pooch who loves children and other dogs. Lucky Charm is an almost 3 year old Boxer x Great Dane who loves to win over other dogs and people with his endless charm, well he is Lucky Charm after all!
Lucky Charm has been in foster care with up to 7 other dogs of all sizes and ages and he gets on well with them all. Lucky Charm’s goal in life is to play! He has a big smile on his face most of the time and just wants to have fun.
Lucky Charm is very social, he loves people of all ages and is great with young children - he's very gentle and loving with kids of all ages. His favourite spot in the house is an armchair in the lounge-room, he forgets he's a big boy and squeezes himself into a ball on the chair for a nap and a bit of TV at the end of a long day of playing. As per most men, Lucky Charm likes to be in the armchair closest to the TV with the remote control in handy reach.
Lucky Charm would best suit a furever family with an existing friendly playful dog as he would be a great companion for another pooch. He would also be great with a family with children of any age or an active couple or single person who will take him out walking or for a light run. When Lucky Charm first came into care he had a wound on the pad of his foot so he couldn't go for walks. This has almost healed so he is looking forward to exploring the neighbourhood with daily walks and adventures again.
Lucky Charm sleeps in a covered veranda snuggled up with his doggy playmates, but he will happily sleep inside with his new furever family if it's on offer. Lucky Charm has a short coat so he's very low maintenance when it comes to grooming. Come and meet this easy going friendly boy, you won't be disappointed!

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
