Harry ~ Maltese X Shih Tzu (trial 8/8/15)

Harry is an (almost) 9 year old Maltese x Shih Tzu who is looking for his forever home. He has spent his whole life being a much loved and well carer for member of the family, however due to sad circumstances facing his previous owner; Harry has found himself in the care of Dog Rescue Newcastle.

Despite being almost 9 years old Harry is still quite spritely, loving his daily walks and having a rough and tumble play with the other dogs and cat in care with him. However after playtime he wants nothing more than to snuggle up next to you on the lounge and fall asleep. Harry’s favourite place to sleep is at the foot of the bed, and being the well behaved gentleman that he is, he doesn’t stir during the night, nor does he need to get up to go to the toilet. He is perfectly happy to sleep right through until morning when his foster parents get up.

Having spent his entire life as an inside dog, Harry is fairly well toilet trained and has only had a couple of accidents since being in foster care. He is usually able to be left alone inside for up to 8 hours with no accidents. It is important that he goes to a home which will continue to allow him to be an inside member of the family all of the time, allowing him to sleep inside (preferably on the bed, as he is accustomed to), and offering him daily walks. It is also important that Harry has access to outside, as he loves to have a sniff around and lay down in the sun and chew on a bone.
