About Luna *On Trial in Her New Home*
*LUNA IS CURRENTLY TRIALING HER NEW HOME - NO MORE ENQUIRIES/APPLICATIONS PLEASE* \ Meet loveable Luna! She’s one of a litter of healthy, happy puppies who were born in early March. Her mum is a Mastiff cross and her dad is a Red Heeler cross Stumpy Tail Cattle Dog so she’s a bit of a mixture.
Luna has a friendly, affectionate nature and is used to being handled (cuddled!) by adults and teenagers. She gets along well with her foster carers other dog just wanting to play or hang out and she’s fine with the household cats and free-range chooks. \ She enjoys food, especially treats which is helping with her training as she does have a stubborn streak though with perseverance she’s already mastered “sit” and “drop”. Luna hasn’t spent much time on a lead as she needed to be fully vaccinated before getting out and about so will need some practice with this in her forever home.
Pretty-girl Luna has a ¾ stumpy-tail she inherited from her father and her carer says she got her energy from him too as she’s a real little goer! She also loves snuggles and thinks it’s pretty cool if she can sit beside you (or on you!) while you watch tv. She’s a cheeky, confident puppy who enjoys playing with toys although she’s been known to steal a shoe or two so you’ll need to keep her occupied, lucky she loves being outside where she’s less likely to “borrow” your belongings!
Enjoy some video of Luna playing with her sister Portia: https://youtu.be/PCYKlSMbscQ
As Luna is pretty-much housetrained and sleeps inside in a crate at night she would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with either a doggie companion to learn from or on her own but only if she won’t be left alone for long periods of time as she’s used to having company, so a retiree or stay-at-home mum or even someone who works from home would be perfect. Being a young pup she will require ongoing obedience training as well as socialisation with other dogs so she grows up to have lovely manners. Daily walks, secure fencing, bones to chew on and toys to play with will make Luna very happy indeed!!

Adoption details
Please Note: SARG and our animals for adoption are located in Mildura in North-West Victoria.
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed, references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
