Benji (D2996)

Benji is an awesome little guy. He loves to sit on your lap, to be be handled and to travel in the car. He wants to be wherever you are. And if you’re busy, you can turn on the TV for him and he’ll bury himself under the cushions, with just his nose peeking out, and watch a show. He’s very obedient - he’ll go inside and outside when asked, sit, give his paw, wait for his food and has no food aggression. He’s only ever been walked on lead and enjoys the beach and camping. His long coat doesn’t shed much, but does need a thorough brushing at least once a week.

Benji LOVES the other dogs in his foster home: LOVES sleeping with them, LOVES playing rough and tumble with them, and LOVES eating with them. He always has to be the first one in for a pat but survives just fine too if he's the last for cuddles. He was relinquished to SAFE because he was too dominant with the other dog in his home, preventing the other larger dog from receiving his owners’ attention. We think that Benji is doing well in his foster home because he is lower down in the pack and has relaxed because he can’t possibly be the top dog. He would probably suit living with another small, gentle, but more dominant playmate as Benji is absolutely hilarious and usually the instigator of all play. He loves it when there are visitors, is delightful with children and enjoys them handling him and playing with him. He has lived with a cat before too.
