About Scoota (On Trial 5/7/15)
Scoota is a male 8 week old Foxie x King Charles Spaniel who will be ready to go to his new home in a couple of weeks. So expressions of interest are being taken now to find him the most suitable home.
Scoota is a typical pup. He is a happy active and playful boy who loves to play with all sorts of balls and toys and very much enjoys a wrestle with his five siblings but he also seems to enjoy some time on his own.
He is the second smallest in the litter so he will need someone who is home a lot who can spend time training him and caring for him. Like all pups Scoota will require more socialisation and puppy school is recommended so that Scoota can grow up to be the best dog that he can be. He would enjoy another dog for company.
As Scoota is only a puppy he is not available for interstate adoption and can only be adopted to a loving family in the Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Maitland, Central Coast areas so he can be brought back for desexing when he is old enough.
Scoota's new home must be securely fenced and danger proofed so Scoota will be safe when he goes outside exploring. Scoota must also be kept indoors as he is much too young to be left outside. He should not be left unsupervised either inside or out.
His adoption fee will cover his desexing and two vaccinations. He will also be microchipped and wormed.

He requires his second vaccination and is too young to be desexed. These will be done at one of our DRN vets and the cost is included in his adoption fee.
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
