About Stanley ~ Staffy X (on trial 12/8/15)
Hi I am Stanley, I'm a Staffy cross and about 3 years old, I have Staffy charm! \ I absolutely love people; I'm a good boy with other dogs.
So far I couldn't care less about the chickens at my foster home & I'm good with cats. \ I think tug is awesome fun but I haven't fully got the hang of fetch, we are working on it. I get excited when my humans come home and I love being with you when your home, when you’re out I'm happy to chill outside. I need to be allowed to sleep inside. I love to play with other dogs but I don’t realise how big I am (just under 25kg).
I love food, my foster children take turns at feeding me and I have got the hang of sitting for the kids (all in primary school) and waiting for my meal (please don't make me wait too long). \ I may be a bit too boisterous for toddlers.
Apparently I didn't I get the memo that I am not a lap dog. I know which chair I'm allowed on and am very good at only sitting on my chair, however if you would like to sit in my chair I would love to sit on your lap and hug you. When you look into my eyes you will want to hug me too.
I haven't tried to jump the fences here; they are all about 5 foot.
I still pull a bit when I walk and I am strong but I love being out and about, I am getting the hang of sitting before crossing the road. I think the hose water is the ultimate back yard fun and I love the beach.
I would be best suited for an active owner who can take me for walks and has the time to devote to training me more not to pull on the lead. I think I would love dog training classes.
I'm happy, fun and loving, anyone would be lucky to have me.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
