Abbey ~ On Trial 29/6/15

Abbey is a 3 year old Chihuahua x Jack Russell. She’s a small beautiful girl who tends to be a little shy to begin with however once she knows she is in safe hands her true character shines. She’s loving and faithful and follows you everywhere and as she just wants to be with you.

Abbey shares her foster home with 4 other small dogs, it took her a few days to get used to living with other dogs as she has been an only dog her whole life and has not been socialized with other dogs. It takes her a little while to warm up to new dogs, she will bark at them at first and then will accept them and learn to play with them. She is learning to play with her foster brothers and sisters more and more each day.

Abbey loves her humans, and is very playful with both adults and kids. She is currently living in quite a busy household with a few older kids and lots of new people to meet and she’s doing very well considering she’s been isolated for the first few years of her life. Over time she will become even more used to meeting people and other dogs.

Abbey has a fluffy coat which needs regular brushing (every few days depending on length), bathing (every few weeks) and an occasional clipping to keep her comfortable and beautiful. Abbey is an inside dog and needs to be allowed inside, at least when people are home, and to sleep inside.

Abbey would be great with someone who is home a lot or in a home with another small friendly dog to keep her company. \ She is a sweet gentle girl with a playful side and will bring you lots of happiness.
