Knuckles

Knuckles is a 6 month old, male Red Heeler X. He is an energetic boy who loves company. He gets along well with other dogs, both big and small, and is also very friendly with cats. He is best behaved when he is exercised regularly, a run would be great but a long walk works just a well. He walks well on a lead and knows to sit before crossing the road.

During the day he’s happy to be outside but loves to be inside with people at night. He can get a bit excited when welcoming people home after a long day at work, but quickly settles once told. He’s well behaved inside and knows to lie down on his mat, as long as the mat is where the people are. He’s toilet trained however needs to be reminded to go outside sometimes. He's happy to go on excursions and is very well behaved in the car.

He is very intelligent and knows basic commands, and would really benefit from a forever family who would continue to train him. He knows his name and will generally come back to you when called, unless there’s something more exciting to chase or follow.

Being very excitable, Knukcles may not be well suited to a family with small children due to his size. He would do well in a family who have another dog to keep him company during the day, however it’s not necessary if he’s exercised well.
