About Pineapple
Are you looking for a tiny pocket-rocket companion? Searching for a fur baby who is small and compact yet has personality and character so large that history books may be written about said pet?
Well, call the search off! We can't guarantee the history book part, but we can promise that Princess Pineapple sure does have a lot of spunk and sass for one teensy little pup!
Pineapple, or "Papple" (her street name) is a young Chihuahua cross breed puppy found as a stray and placed into foster care after a stint at the pound. We think Papple might be around 5-6 months old.
Currently weighing in at under 1.7kgs, Pineapple is one tiny little tyke of a dog. She is in great health having had all three of her puppy vaccinations and has been desexed, ready to find her perfect forever home.
Papple enjoys living in foster care with a house full of dogs of all different sizes, breeds, ages and genders. When meeting a new dog, either at home or in the park, she can be either quite shy and quiet or very vocal and skittish. Either way within minutes she calms down and makes fast friends of those she meets (as long as they are gentle and evenly matched in energy level).
Like most Chihuahuas, Papple has a very confident attitude once she can relax into an environment. Her big personality really shines around other dogs. She particularly adores her big Staffy foster brother and big older spaniel foster sister.
Pineapple is quick-thinking and an extremely fast learner. This has meant that she is not only toilet trained (unless it rains, then all bets are off) but knows the lay of the land, all the best hiding spots (like under the couch) and totally owns and manages the communal toy basket.
Not your ordinary handbag 'toy' dog, Papple is looking for a home that will not only treat her as a princess but also treat her like a dog. Papple walks on the leash well, enjoys off-leash park play and knows to sit and wait before every meal.
This adorable little rescue puppy is certainly a 'one of a kind' find. She will entertain her new family for hours on end with her meerkat/spider monkey moves and her sweet little marsupial-like face.
Pineapple's foster family are looking for a forever home that can provide Papple with 24/7 companionship. Either canine or human would suit but Pineapple does express separation anxiety when left to her own devices and as a result her very high-pitched bark would annoy even the most understanding of neighbours.
So far Pineapple has met a large range of children from as young as 6 months old to teenagers. While she tolerates all, she would be most comfortable in a home with older children as fast movements and strange noises from younger kids can make her nervous.

Adoption details
We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at http://www.maggiesrescue.org/adoption-enquiry/. Please use this link rather than the 'find out more' button on the pet's PetRescue profile.
We will then organise a time for you to meet with the foster carer and the pet you are interested in adopting.
Maggie's wants this to be a good experience for you, and we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog as your situation may not meet the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of this period we will transfer the microchip to your details and the adoption is complete.
Your pet is a Maggie's Pet for Life, please consider this before adopting.
