About True (rehomed)
True is a gorgeous, friendly young Kelpie girl with a lovely, calm nature.
True is very friendly with people and other dogs. She shows no guarding or aggressive tendencies and is being fostered with three other dogs. She eats around them and gets along with all of them. Although she had no food food manners when she came into care, she is a quick learner and has learned to sit and wait for her food.
True sleeps through the night in a crate and can be crated when her humans are out. She travels well in the car in a crate or in a car harness and doesn't mind chilling out in the car.
Despite not having been an inside dog previously, she has picked up house-training extremely quickly, learning how to use the dog door and taking herself out to toilet.
True is a very calm and laid-back Kelpie. She has an off-switch and will take himself to her crate, dog bed or mat to chill out quietly while her humans are on the computer or watching tv.
True walks well on a lead but has not appear to have any other training yet. While in foster care, she is learning some basic obedience.
You can follow True's progress on her blog here: http://koalathebear.dreamwidth.org/tag/true which has details of her life in foster care as well as more photos of her. You can submit an expression of interest so that her carer will contact you for a chat and your application will be put on a list for consideration.
Expressions of interest can be lodged by downloading and completing this form:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/x9bvo4dio1wkf36/07%20Adoption%20Application.doc and emailing it to clara.fosterdogs@gmail.com. The expression of interest/application to adopt in no way commits you to adopt.
Please note that only expressions of interest submitted using the form will be answered. The process for adoption is:
1. Expression of interest
2. Foster carer will contact you for a chat
3. Foster carer may arrange for a yard check and a meet and greet
4. True may be adopted when she is ready for adoption if she is suitable for your home and vice versa.
Medical notes
True has been vaccinated, desexed and microchipped.
Adoption details

Please note that while we consider all applications in the order in which we receive them, our animals are not adopted out on a first come, first served basis. Our objective is to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable ‘forever’ home available to meet the animal's (and the person’s) characteristics and needs.
The final decision about which new home the animal goes to is made by the foster carer based on their knowledge and understanding of the potential home and the personality of the individual animal. Sometimes it may take several enquiries before you find the right RADAR furry friend for you!
We will need a holding deposit of a minimum $50 that is non refundable to hold a pet for you whilst awaiting everything to finalize, however this amount is deducted from the adoption fee.
RADAR expects full payment on exchange of the pet or prior to it leaving on transport.
RADAR expects you to be responsible for transport costs. We can help source appropriate transport options or help find accommodation if you need to travel and stay overnight.
It is understood that if all goes wrong that you can return the pet safely and unharmed to RADAR for a full refund within one week of the adoption.
