Ziggy- Husky

My name is Ziggy and I’m a Husky who is looking for a new home because I need to be part of a family even if it’s just the two of us - I haven’t had much of that in the past but I’m really enjoying it now that I have had a taste of what it’s like.
Inside the house and in the back yard I’m really good; I’m neither destructive nor high maintenance.
While I’m young, active and fit I am happy to laze around with my pack whether that’s another dog or my humans, especially at night in front of the TV where I sleep on my own doggy bed. I never do my business inside and can hang on all night long.
During the day I am happy in a good-sized yard with water and toys, and I can be left for hours. When you get back you must take me out for a walk or a run because I need to get rid of some of my energy and I love to sniff and look around because I’m extremely alert and curious.
My manners inside the house are excellent; I can come, sit, drop and stay on command even when you put my food in front of me until you tell me I can have it. I’m really smart and I learn very quickly.
My last owner didn’t have a lot of time for me and he didn’t understand how to get the best from me so I must have someone this time that will take me to training. We need to work on my coming when called, I do it all the time when I’m at home but I get distracted if I’m out, and I need to be in a Halti or gentle leader when walked so that I learn to walk without pulling.
I’m very good with people, kids and other dogs though I tend to chase birds.
If you have another dog in the house that would be great because I would love someone to play with, or kids above the age of about 5 because I’m medium sized and I could accidently knock over toddlers if we’re playing.
