About Panda
Panda is a very sweet dog that loves cuddles and adores people. The first things that people notice about Panda are her pretty eyes, her cute spotty ears and her beautiful long feathery tail. She has a gentle disposition and is not an in your face type dog, nor is she hyperactive.
She knows how to sit and to get "up" onto a log or into the back of the SUV. Panda can jump up onto anything you point at from a standing start- she effortlessly does it. She responds to whistles more than her name. She loves to be with people and does jump up on people but is very gentle when she does so. I am however discouraging this habit.
With further training she will be an awesome dog, ideal for agility or flyball, or would make an ideal running partner.
Out and about Panda walks like a lady on the lead, she does get scared if other dogs bark at her, but she only reacts by timidly hiding behind her handler. In her own backyard Panda is a dominant female around other dogs but gets along with male dogs without any dramas and is shows submissive behaviours to them.
Panda had a rough start to life where she was tied up constantly with limited food, due to this she has developed food guarding issues when other dogs are around. We are working on her issues - it is a slow process please note she is not aggressive to people at all.
Panda is fine around cats as well and is around my mini horse all day long without showing any interest.
Panda is an awesome dog and definitely worth the time and love that she so deserves.
Medical notes
The pink pigment near her left eye makes it look like she has a small lump near her eye in some photos but I can guarantee she does not have a lump near her eye at all.
Adoption details
Firstly you will need to complete an application with your name and address and contact details for the microchip records. Our online application form is available on our website http://www.radarescue.org/online-application-form
Or an application form can be requested by using the Email Carer feature on the pet's listing.
Please note that while we consider all applications in the order in which we receive them, our animals are not adopted out on a first come, first served basis. Our objective is to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable ‘forever’ home available to meet the animal's (and the person’s) characteristics and needs.
The final decision about which new home the animal goes to is made by the foster carer based on their knowledge and understanding of the potential home and the personality of the individual animal. Sometimes it may take several enquiries before you find the right RADAR furry friend for you!
We will need a non-refundable holding deposit of $50 minimum to hold a pet for you whilst awaiting everything to be finalised, however this amount is deducted from the adoption fee.
RADAR expects full payment on exchange of the pet or prior to it leaving on transport.
RADAR expects you to be responsible for transport costs. We can help source appropriate transport options or help find accommodation if you need to travel and stay overnight.
It is understood that if all goes wrong that you can return the pet safely and unharmed to RADAR for a full refund within one week of the adoption.
