Jimmy ~ Tibetan Spaniel (on trial 13/6/15)

So what can we say about Jimmy, sweet little Jimmy Choo, He is a 1 year old pure Tibetan Spaniel and he weighs in at a whopping 5.3kg. He is cute and fluffy and a real little character, looking for love and a new happy life.

This little man is super calm and exceptionally quiet. In his former home he was outside a lot and this made him very unhappy. As a result of this being outside, he started some problem barking. Since coming into care and being an inside dog, little Jimmy barely says boo. We can honestly count the number of times he has barked on one hand. Were it not for his adorable face you may forget he was even in the room, he is just that quiet.

Little Jimmy has such a sweet disposition. It does take him some time to warm up to new people (maybe even a few days) however once he knows you are staying he comes out of his shell and shows you his loving side. He will make some lucky person a very good companion, happily curling up at your feet, snuggling in a little ball on the couch beside you or laying on a cosy bed or blankie within viewing distance of you.

One of Jimmy's biggest pleasures in life is a rub. Scratch and rub his belly and he will love you forever, rub behind his ear and he will be putty in your hands. If he thinks a belly rub is on the cards he will roll onto his back and wait for it to start. While he is an affectionate and loyal boy he is not at all in your face. He is super laid back, does not lick, attention seek or demand to be picked up (though he will happily be carried around).

Like all gentle souls, Jimmy does appreciate time to himself. During the day he will occasionally retreat to his crate for a nap or a bit of solitude. Before long though he will be back at your side, the tiny pitter patter of his feet letting you know he is back and ready to join you. He will happily follow you around in the garden, pottering around while you hang the clothes or do your daily chores.

He is a connoisseur of fine foods and loves his dinner. He is not at all picky and enjoys his meat, fish, eggs and veggies along with his good quality biscuits. He likes to indulge in a spot of cheese if treats are to be had. These could be used to help him learn basic commands.

The gentleman that he is, Jimmy is toilet trained and will let you know when he needs the bathroom.

Jimmy really loves his crate and likes to spend his nights cuddled up in there, sleeping soundly till the morning. When you wake, he greets you with an adorable smiling face and the happiness all but radiates from him. When he goes to his new home he will need to be allowed to sleep inside with his family, preferably in a little crate so he can feel snuggly and secure. His ideal family would be one where someone is home most of the time. He will need to be allowed to be inside most of the time as he is very much an inside pooch.

Jimmy is currently living with two large playful dogs who like to wrestle and run amuck, and although Jimmy doesn’t join in with the games, he doesn’t seem bothered by them either, he just stays on the side lines cheering for whoever is winning.

Jimmy is a gorgeous boy who deserves the very best, and to be shown what true love is. He has wiggled and snuggled into the hearts of his foster family and we are determined to find him the absolute perfect home.
