Waffles

Waffles is ready for his new home x

It's been a long journey but we think waffles is ready for adoption.

Waffles is truly a changed little gentleman. It doesn't take long to fall in love with waffles as he likes to draw you in with his big brown eyes for a pat (which always works) then he starts to snuggle into you while you stroke his head and back, he'll then flop himself over to scratch his belly, there is no stopping though as he will continue to paw you gently with his cute tiny paws to keep going, if you ignore his paws he will snuggle and squirm into your side. As a senior he really enjoys his snoozing time in his soft warm bed with a blanket that he can scratch into a ball and snuggle into. Waffles even likes to be tucked in before bed time, he will look up at you with his big brown eyes as if to say thank you. Waffles much prefers to sleep in his own bed close to you rather then on the bed with you as he is a heavy sleeper and startles easy if he is accidentally woken. Waffles loves everyone he meets as long as they have a gentle touch, he gets a little worried if he is held too tightly or patted too roughly, so a quiet home with a cuddly cat or a gentle senior dog would be good for waffles. He likes to be warned with the word cuddles before you pick him up as he gets startled easy and will give you worried looking eyes until he gets to know you better. Waffles needs a quiet adult family with no children. Waffles is not afraid to use his voice to talk to you, he barks to hurry you out the door for his short daily walk, he also barks for his breakfast and tea, no less then 2 small meals a day for this little prince. If he has managed to jump up on the couch but is too scared to jump down he will bark to let you know, he is never afraid to ask you for help when he needs you. Waffles is great when it comes to giving you space and not getting under your feet, if you take a step forward he will take a step back unless he realizes you have acknowledged him then he will come straight up for a cuddle and a pat. Waffles loves bath time, it's like he thinks his at a day spa when you rub those warm soap suds in, he loves being wrapped up in a towel for drying and likes to show you his best side when blow drying and the brush is his best friend, he pushes into the brush making sure you get all sides and then rolls over for his tummy. Waffles walks well on a lead but he will show his tough side with his little bark when he sees and greets other dogs even though he is very sociable. He travels well in the car, is toilet trained (though he needs encouragement to go outside when it's cold or raining) and doggy door trained, he is a fast learner and with the right forever home he will truly flourish.
