About Holly
Holly is a very special and sweet girl who just wants to be with her humans but is happy sharing her foster home with 2 dogs and 2 cats as the last picture shows them all waiting patiently for dinner:) Holly is in the back left of the picture the only white and tan dog in the picture.
Holly will need a quieter home and would prefer a home with another doggy companion and if there is a cat or cats in resident then this will not phase her. She would prefer her new owner to be home most of the time or at least not work very long hours. Holly can be left from time to time as long as she can have access inside (not necessarily to all areas). Holly travels well in the care and loves her adventures
Holly sleeps beside her carers bed, however would happily sleep on your bed or under the bed sheets her foster carer's nickname for this girl is Wombat as she can burrow under a blanket or bed sheets in record time:).
Here is a message from Holly's carer:-
"It’s taken some time to see her gorgeous personality, she has a very fragile temperament at the moment. Adorably she will show excitement and a want to play, but up until a couple of days ago she would get overwhelmed and quickly retreat to one of her ‘security zones’ (the couch, her bed or under our bed). In the last day or two she has started playing chase with my dog and even got involved in some fetch with a ball in the yard. She is a very sweet girl and would suit a peaceful household where she can learn to trust herself in her surroundings. She loves to burrow into sheets and blankets and whenever she is scared or overwhelmed we just put a blanket over her and she settles straight away. For the most part she is just a happy girl who scares easily but I can see she will improve with love and extended stability:)"
We do not think she has had the best of lives as she is unsure of a lot of things but has improved so much since coming into our care. We would love to find Holly her forever home as it is so nice to see her coming out of her shell each day with love and tlc from her carer and we are so happy to see her tail wagging and her smile when she sees people she knows and trusts.
She loves her daily walks and can trot along at a very good speed and can be taken off leash in areas that are safe. Holly enjoys sitting next to you, or on your lap, while watching TV and snuggling up next to you .
Holly is housetrained. You can meet with Holly by appointment in the Zetland/Sydney Park area of Sydney. Thank you to Jo Lyons Photography for the wonderful photos of Holly.
