About Riley ~ Dane X Mastiff X Box (on trial 28/6/15)
Beautiful Riley is a stunning looking female Great Dane x Mastiff x Boxer only 9 months old. She is a big, bundle of love and energy just waiting for her perfect, forever home.
Riley is a playful natured puppy that would be perfectly suited to a family who can give her lots of love and spend time with her. She loves to have cuddles and enjoys her daily walk and a play in the backyard or at the park.
Riley travels well in the car and shows and enjoys getting out and about. She is learning how to walk nicely on a lead and has good recall and never wanders far when off lead. Being a young but large dog, Riley will benefit from ongoing training and socialisation although she is already obeying basic commands as sit, come and waits patiently before being told she can eat.
She loves to meet new people and is friendly immediately although easily excitable. She is motivated by positive reinforcement and being rewarded with treats thereby making her focus on training easier.
Riley is great with children and currently lives with a 2 year old, although due to her size and playful puppiness, supervision is always recommended. She is currently not living with cats or any other fur creatures however she would be fine to live with another friendly dog as she would love to have a playmate to run around the backyard with.
Riley currently sleeps outside and has some inside time during the day. She is housetrained to the point of walking to the back door when she needs to go – it’s still your job to open the door in time however! Riley is not a digger or a fence jumper at all, she enjoys chewing sticks and is also satisfied with other appropriate chew toys.
Riley is desexed, fully vaccinated and up to date with flea and worm treatment.
If you think you could provide the right home for this big, bouncing baby girl, please contact Bec by email (preferred) at becsnewemail@yahoo.com.au or SMS 0416095409.
Riley is in care at Cardiff, Lake Macquarie, NSW but is also available for interstate adoption to the right applicants. Her adoption fee is $400

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
