About Pumba
** PUMBA **
Pumba is another one of our lovely dogs who has spent almost his entire life in care. His foster family adore him, but it’s well past time he found a forever family who he can spend the rest of his life with.
If you’re looking for a super-affectionate, very large dog, then Pumba may just be the boy for you!!
Pumba is a bull arab x and he weighs in around 40kgs. He is an affectionate big boy and will happily spend hours chilling on the couch with you. He also loves going for an afternoon run at the beach!
Pumba's basic training and manners are coming along nicely and he is also crate trained. Given his size and strength, he’s currently learning to walk on a halti. He would do best in a family committed to helping him build confidence in new environments and who are committed to his ongoing training and ensuring clear boundaries are maintained for him. He responds very well to positive rewards and a confident handler.
Pumba loves other dogs and is fond of kids. However, he’s not suited to a home with cats or pocket pets.
With his thin white fur and pink skin, Pumba will require protection from the sun with daily sunscreen, lots of shade or access indoors
Pumba is currently located in Townsville QLD and interstate adoption enquiries are welcome. *Please note, transport costs are payable by the adopter and contrary to what has been promoted on social media, there are no guaranteed free flights available for any rescue animals. *

Adoption details
Hear No Evil's Adoption process:
1st Step * You contact us to obtain an adoption application, and discuss the dog of interest.
Once the application is completed and returned it will be assessed for suitability.
2nd Step * A Meet and Greet with the dog and all members of the adopting family and and current dogs is arranged where possible.
This usually coincides with a Yard check to ensure the safety and security of the property on which the dog will be kept. - We understand that this is not always possible in interstate adoptions and this will be discussed on your initial contact.
3rd Step *Payment of the Adoption fee in full. The dog is then handed over with any belongings, and all relevant paperwork and records.
Transport arrangements are the financial responsibility of the Adopting party. Hear No Evil are happy to assist with departure preparations and ensuring the dog makes its transport connection.
Final step * Once the 14 day 'settling in' period has ended, the change of ownership microchip details are submitted, and the adoption is officially finalised.
