About Bert... Intelligent and loving
G’day, my name’s Bert, I'm a 2 year old, energetic heeler x so if you like to run and stay active then we may be a good match!
I’m quite intelligent, if I do say so myself, and have done lots of training with my previous owners. \ I know all the basic commands like sit, stay, drop and heel and I am patient enough to sit in a drop for half an hour if I need to. I am also good with boundaries - no going on the carpet! I can outsmart people sometimes though and am a bit stubborn so I need to keep practicing. I know my name and am usually pretty good at coming back to you, except if there’s something really, really good to chase, then I might forget. I’m only 2 so I’ve still got a bit to learn.
I love playing with my squeaky toys, chasing flies, chasing my ball and chasing birds – can you tell I love to chase things!
I can be a little bit boisterous for little children at times - I forget how big I am! Considering I come from a smart breed and am still quite young, an adult family who has experience with dogs is likely to be my best match. They can help teach me more manners and include me in their daily activities and walks! I will adore them with my unconditional love!
The right family may include another dog but I like to be top dog so they will have to be happy to follow my lead. I’d love to meet them to see whether we would be a good match
