So you’re looking for that perfect dog? The dog that will add the final touch to your family. A sweet, soft, cuddly, happy, friendly, funny and adorable canine family member? Then look no further!
Cherry is as her name suggest - sweet as pie. Cherry has been a pleasure to have around. A very solid learner with a soft nature. She loves playing with other dogs but is not annoying. If they tell her to go away she goes off and plays with her toy mouse. She is not a chewer and if she’s given a toy she makes sure to take care of it and treat it delicately. Cherry loves the cat and they spend each evening rolling around the floor together or playing hide and seek. She has been introduced to rats, chickens, bunnies and ponies with no issue at all. She has very low to zero prey drive and has no interest in killing or chasing any of the animals. In fact just yesterday she was sitting beside the rat cage whilst they were reaching through the bars to sniff her. She adores the pony foal and they can often be seen grooming each other or lying together in the backyard. Cherry is doing well with her obedience, she has learned not to jump on people, her ‘sit’ is consistent as is her recall. She’s doing well on the leash, rarely pulling anymore and her car manners are A grade as are her indoor manners. She was quite shy of people when she first came but with solid and consistent exposure she is getting much better. sometime she takes a second to come over but a kind and soft approach works wonders and she’s your best friend in minutes. Due to her softer nature she would be more suited to a family with school-age children preferably with another dog or access to other well-socialised dogs for play and interaction as she does love other dogs.
