About Cleo ~ Greyhound X Pharoah Hound (trial8/8/15)
Meet Cleo, an 18 month old Ridgeback x Greyhound with possibly even some Pharaoh Hound thrown in there too (exotic!). With her huge sphinx-like ears, attentive eyes and happy-go-lucky nature, she's the complete package! Cleo is an absolute stunner with a personality to match; you just can’t help but smile when you meet this girl.
Being a young dog, Cleo is energetic and playful; she loves her daily walks and playing with her foster sister. But really she loves nothing more than family. Cleo is extremely loyal and follows her foster mum everywhere! She will do anything to please you and as a result, has great recall. Cleo is a quick learner; she can already follow simple commands including sit, down and shake. She is dog and human friendly, becoming friends with everyone (the fur kind included) that she meets.
Cleo has the tall, lean physique of a greyhound and has a greyhounds' love for falling asleep and lazing part of the day away. Although she's active, she is content to chill out inside with you and sleep for hours on end whilst you potter around the house.
Cleo would love to go to a home where someone is home most of the time, as she just loves human affection. She would be happy with a medium-large fur sibling to play with and keep her company when everyone’s out. Cleo is house trained and loves snuggles on the lounge at night (and makes a terrific hot water bottle in bed if she’s allowed in there). Being a people person (dog) she would be happy to go to a family with children, however due to her size and playful nature she would be best suited to a family with older children so they don’t accidentally get hurt.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
