About Miss Molly
Gentle, sensitive, affectionate, playful, sweet natured, smart & cuddly - That's me!
Hi! My name is Molly!
I am a very sweet and I am gentle, quiet and timid in nature but also love to run around like a mad-chook and wrestle with dogs or throw my toys around like they are alive. I love to snuggle with my humans and my doggie siblings.
I am back up on PetRescue after a 3 week break, waiting to go to my adopter but sadly that fell through due to unexpected circumstances on their side.
I have been going to my Mum's work once a week where I let lots of people pick me up for cuddles, and fall asleep on their laps while they work, and then I entertain everyone up when I play (shhh don't tell their boss they were distracted). Out of the 5 pups mum has taken to work I am everyone's favourite!
I have started basic training and so far I know:
Sit,
Shake,
Drop,
Stay (I don't really like this one so much, I think it's too boring)
Up,
Down,
Bye (which means I shouldn't follow my pawrent because I have to stay) &
Toilet / toilet time (which means go outside and...)
I am a good girl and I sit and wait until released before I eat my dinner. I haven't shown any aggression to other dogs or people around food (I can even be patted while eating) but I am cute enough that I think I can get away with stealing food from my big doggie-brother's bowl if he lets me!
I am also well behaved in the car and love going for rides!
I am mostly toilet trained but still sometimes have an accident inside (but I've never had an accident in the workplace - I'm professional like that!). At home, I do well at making sure I go on newspaper if there is any to be found.
I walk well on the lead and don't pull too much but still need to refine my skills. I am learning to walk beside roads and not on them for safety.
I am crate trained and even if you pop me in when I am exited and want to play I will settle down quickly. I happily stay in my crate all night but love to climb up with my humans for snuggles in the morning.
I also love dogs! I love meeting new dogs and am careful with them and will be submissive and a little timid until I feel confident enough to taunt them :) \ if the other dog isn't happy, or if they are too boisterous for me I will drop and give them my belly and slink away. I live with a foster brother-dog and an elderly foster-doggie-sister who is a bit cranky but neither of them play with me and that makes me really sad. At least they let me snuggle with them! I would be happy in a home with other dogs who enjoy playing however I can be really annoying to my foster-brother-doggie because he doesnt want to play but I love him so I lick his face non stop. But I would also be happy as an only-dog if I can be inside where my parents are, when they are at home.
I have spent several hours around kids - a 3yo and a 15 month old, and while I was scared of them at first I got more confident and would approach them quietly and let them touch me but I did like being able to escape their clutches and just hang out near them but not close enough to be taunted by them.
I am a sensitive natured pup which does mean I will need pawrents who will make an effort to socialise me to lots of different situations (people, animals, places) in a way that will help me grow my confidence.
I am a working dog breed so need pawrents who understand my needs for mental stimulation and exercise. But I also like to hangout inside the house with you!
